“I’ve been eating raw meat and gunpowder”

The words of Richard Seymour, defensive end for the New England Patroits, who until yesterday was a holdout. 1.5 million extra this year and he’s in camp and happy to be there. After learning this, my insomnia went away all at once, leaving this goose-egg on my forehead as my head caught a piece of the coffee table on the way down.

The quote was his, a warning to the offensive linemen who were in a meeting when he came back onto the scene. We’re only a few weeks away from the first preseason game and things are looking up. The only question mark at this point is middle linebacker as Tedy Bruschi is thankfully taking this season off.

I’m ready for some football!
