Praying for Ervin Santana

He pitched a gem against the Sox a few months ago, and ended the season strong. He’s got Sheffield up now as the tying run, but I honestly think the kid’s going to get out of this. Buck and McCarver are pontificating as to why there’s nobody up in the Angels’ pen right now, but they’ve been known to get things wrong. It’s only the 5th…and everyone knows, “you go to the playoffs with the team you have…”

Update: He just got Sheff and Matsui…high fastballs on 1-2, 0-2 counts – location was perfect on both.
